What is BoxFlow?
BoxFlow is a white-label SaaS platform for pharmacies, medical supply stores, and homecare providers offering care boxes. It covers the entire flow: digital applications under Section 40 of the German Social Code XI (SGB XI), internal review, documents and signatures, and recurring monthly supply — all under your own brand.
Who is entitled to a care box?
Under Section 40 (2) SGB XI, people with a recognized care level (1–5) who are cared for at home, in a shared flat, or in assisted living are entitled to consumable care aids. The long-term care insurance fund covers the costs up to the statutory maximum of currently €42 per month — so for insured persons, the care box is generally free of charge.
How is a personalized care box created?
You configure products and rules to match your assortment. Your customers then assemble their box in a guided digital process — within the monthly reimbursement limit. The composition can be adjusted at any time for follow-up deliveries.
How does billing with the care insurance fund work?
Insured persons pay nothing up to the maximum amount — as the provider, you bill the delivered care aids directly to the care insurance fund. BoxFlow keeps the application, approval status, and delivery history structured in one place, so the documentation for billing is complete and traceable.
Does BoxFlow support digital application processes?
Yes. Application data is captured digitally, the required documents — such as the application for cost coverage under Section 40 SGB XI — are generated automatically and signed digitally. You track the processing and approval status centrally in the dashboard.
Can we use our own branding?
Yes. Colors, logo, your own domain, sender identity, and documents are adapted to your brand. Your customers stay within your brand experience throughout — BoxFlow itself never appears.
Is BoxFlow fully hosted?
Yes. We handle operation, maintenance, updates, and scaling — you need neither your own servers nor internal IT staff. Hosting takes place in data centers in Germany.
How does BoxFlow handle data protection?
Personal data is processed in accordance with the GDPR. Health-related information is handled with the special care required by Art. 9 GDPR: data minimization, encrypted transmission (TLS), hosting in Germany, and data processing agreements with all service providers involved. For your customer processes, we conclude a data processing agreement with you under Art. 28 GDPR.
Is the platform secure?
The technical architecture is designed for secure, auditable operation — including encrypted transmission and cleanly separated tenants (multi-tenant architecture). Specific certifications and further technical and organizational measures will be documented transparently before launch.
